Selenite IonSelenites are ionic compounds containing the selenite anion, SeO32-. Sodium Selenite is a colorless solid used, along with barium and zinc selenites, in the making of colorless glass. Sodium selenite is also an ingredient in some food supplements, predominantly in pet foods.
