About Tungsten Nickel Honeycomb

Tungsten Nickel HoneycombHoneycombs are most often an array of hollow hexagonal cells with thin vertical walls. Sheets of metal can be placed on the top and bottom of the honeycomb to create a strong flat surface. Tungsten Nickel Honeycomb is low density permeable material with numerous applications. The defining characteristic of these Honeycombs is a very high porosity, typically 75-95% of the volume consists of void spaces. Metallic Honeycombs have found a wide variety of applications in heat exchangers, energy absorption, flow diffusion and lightweight optics. Ceramic Honeycomb is often used for thermal insulation, acoustic insulation, adsorption of environmental pollutants, filtration of molten metal alloys, and as substrate for catalysts requiring large internal surface area. The geometric structure of tungsten nickel honeycomb allows for the minimization of material used thus lowering weight and cost. The honeycomb pattern has a high strength-to-weight ratio. Packaging Specifications

Typical bulk packaging includes palletized plastic 5 gallon/25 kg. pails, fiber and steel drums to 1 ton super sacks in full container (FCL) or truck load (T/L) quantities. Research and sample quantities and hygroscopic, oxidizing or other air sensitive materials may be packaged under argon or vacuum. Shipping documentation includes a Certificate of Analysis and Safety Data Sheet (SDS). Solutions are packaged in polypropylene, plastic or glass jars up to palletized 440 gallon liquid totes, and 36,000 lb. tanker trucks.
